A few years ago this would have been a really enthralling headline
but for some reason today it is far from that. Other than the fact that
these are arguable the two fastest man on the planet, I guess the only
incentive here is to see what Usain will do when he nears the tape.
What kind of entertainment does he have in store for the thousands of
fans in the National Stadium in Kingston.
With all due respect to Mr powell, I believe he has a whole lot more
in store for us. I am just waiting to see how much he grows from this
experience of literal bewilderment, as far as the media is concerned.
But such is the nature of propaganda and such is the nature of the band
wagonists as they are affectionately called. Powell will rise from
this and his only impediment right now is: NOT USAIN, NOT TYSON, but
HIMSELF. And by that I mean he has to find a way to overcome and
restore belief in himself and take it from there. He has to feel this
hunger and thrist for the highest prize and I believe that this
expereince he’s facing now will take him through that phase of
transformation.
Overall the Jamaica National Championships will be an exciting
affair. The matchups are very interesting and especially the womens
sprints. Although Veronica will only be running the 200m I think Kerron
Stewart will take the double.
My predictions for the Other events are Dwight Thomas for the 110
hurdles men while Ennis London for the womens version of that event.
The 400m will go to Chambers for Men and williams for women.
I think Steve Mullings will be in the top three for the sprints, Yohan Blake will make the team too.
My Best wishes to all the Guys and Ladies on show
